2025 ↓

We’ve had another rewarding year—our sixteenth—and it’s certainly been sweet, creating homes for wonderful clients, with many more exciting projects heading to site and beginning in the studio in 2026.
Our in-haus teams continue to transform Brisbane’s challenging sloping and narrow sites into opportunities for elevated living in the subtropics. Several projects were recognised in industry awards, and Lachlan was honoured to be appointed to the Master Builders Queensland Housing Sector Committee.
We are grateful to our clients, team, trades, suppliers and brand partners for their contributions to our design + build journey.
Below are some highlights from the year and what’s coming next.

Thank you to all our client partners who have trusted us with such an important personal project as building your home. For those who have moved in this year, welcome to the Happy Haus Owner’s Club; we hope you love being in your new homes with friends and family. To our clients who are currently in the process, we can’t wait to say “Welcome home” in 2026.
Lachlan was appointed as a member of the Master Builders Queensland Housing Sector Committee.

“This opportunity allows me to collaborate with fellow committee members and management to help shape the Association’s housing policy framework and identify key advocacy opportunities for our industry.
The Committee meets regularly throughout the year and serves in an advisory capacity, making recommendations to the MBQ Board for its review and decision. I look forward to contributing my experience and insights, working alongside passionate professionals, and supporting the ongoing growth and innovation of the housing sector. Thank you to the Master Builders Queensland team for this opportunity.”
Northgate Haus 065 won Master Builders Regional Home $2-2.5m
Winner of the Master Builders Regional Home $2-2.5m, Northgate Haus 065, is one of Happy Haus’ most ambitious homes to date, a six-bedroom luxury residence that melds Modernist and Queenslander cues on an expansive (and rare) 1200 sqm hilltop site.
In addition to this, all four of our HIA 2025 Awards entries, Taringa Haus 005, Gordon Park Haus 024, Cannon Hill 025 and Northgate Haus 065 were selected as finalists.
Mount Gravatt East Haus 056, winner of the 2024 HIA Small Lot Housing Award, recently sold for a small lot suburb record.
Earlier this year we set out to answer the question, why square metre rates don’t always measure up?
